Brother's Mexican Restaurant: Authentic Mexican Cuisine in San Diego

Just stopped in out of curiosity because they started serving sushi! Got the crispy rice, which was amazing!!! And such a good deal for $8! I've had their street tacos which have always been the best drunk food on 30th, but what a delight that I could also enjoy a sushi snack here haha. Saw this happy hour menu, so I will definitely be back for these great deals!

One of the best to ever do it. Seriously bomb burritos. If you haven't tried it yet you should.

I've had ordered delivery from Brothers Mexican restaurant many times before and was satisfied with my orders. This is my first time eating at the restaurant. It was pretty quiet when we arrived but the staff was fast to help us. The restaurant is a bit tiny and clean. The restaurant has a bar with limited alcohol choices. I ordered the shrimp a la diabla, it comes with rice and beans for $19. My friends ordered the carne asada tacos and carne asada fries. My favorite were the carne Asad fries, they were crispy, fresh, meat was flavorful. The Shrimp a la diabla was a bit too salty for me. Their green salsa is legit. The red salsa had a Smokey taste to it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our food came out fast!

Nice step up from other takeout/quick eats Mexican restaurants. The inside is very welcoming with a bar area and some table seating options. Service is quick and they have some good happy hour options and weekly specials! I really enjoyed their carne asada tacos and my friend enjoyed their carne asada fries as well. Knocking off one star because they are fairly expensive for being more of a fast casual restaurant. There are a couple parking spots across the street or street parking in the area. Not always easy to find a spot but that's typical for North Park. Otherwise a great spot for a quick bite. Will return!

During my brief visit to San Diego, I ended up stopping by Brother's Mexican Restaurant twice. The first time, I tried out their California burrito and the second time, I had tacos at their outdoor taco station after a long night of bar hopping. The ratio of fries to non-fries in their California burrito is pretty good. Asada is tender and there's just the right amount of guac inside to make each bite not too dry. For tacos, the adobada is the way to go. At $3.50 each, I felt like each taco was a steal. I would stop by again for late night tacos but I think there are likely better spots around if you're willing to travel a little bit farther from North Park.

Taco Tuesday! Ordered 2 Taco Asada 2 Taco Chicken 1 enchilada plate with rice and bean. I got one cheese and other with shredded chicken. The red sauce was a little bit salty but other than it tasted great. The tacos were delicious with a generous amount and it was super filling meal The service was great. The place was also clean. There is no restroom, but they do have a sink/soap to wash you hands.
